India and Sri Lanka go head to head in the first of three T20i on Tuesday evening at the Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai. This is India’s first T20i since beating New Zealand 1-0 in a three-match series in November. Sri Lanka last played this format in the 2022 T20 World Cup. India have been disappointing in their last two T20 World Cup tournaments but have a team full of quality players. It would be a big surprise if they did not get off to a winning start in the series in this match. Sri Lanka won the 2022 Asia Cup but are still a very inconsistent team across all formats. However, we still expect them to be competitive in this T20i.

There is always good pace in this wicket and we expect the ball to come onto the bat nicely in this match. A par score will be over 175. Clear skies throughout this game in Mumbai. The temperature will be in the mid-high 20s from start to finish with moderate humidity levels.
No Injury. Will be added when there is an update

Sri Lanka have a good bowling attack and some very capable batters at this level. However, overall, India have the stronger players in all departments. This should be an excellent series and cricket supporters across the world are looking forward to this opening game. Although India are without some of their top players, they still have excellent players in all positions. We expect Sri Lanka to be competitive but think that India’s bowlers will be too strong. Overall we are predicting a win for India. Considering the team combination, India is expected to win this match.
