Be it Dhawan and comeback man Shubman Gill’s forceful opening stand, or Mohammad Siraj’s development as the head of the bowling assault without even a trace of the accomplished Mohammed Shami and Jasprit Bumrah, India ticked every one of the checkboxes on Friday to go 1-0 up in the three-match series.
Dhawan pulled off an unexpected without a trace of the injured Ravindra Jadeja, making part time spinner Deepak Hooda bowl in front of expert Yuzvendra Chahal inside the initial 20 overs.

Siraj stood apart as the speed lead excused Nicholas Pooraj in the middle overs and returned at the demise with his perfect yorkers.
