Kohli tweeted a heartfelt picture to wish his mother on her birthday.

Virat Kohli wished his mother a happy birthday using a heartfelt photo. Koli’s post contained the caption “Happy Birthday Maa” as he is seen with his mother in a photo that he appears to have taken when they were visiting the Golden Temple in Amritsar. As Kohli’s fans commemorated her mother’s birthday, they also reacted to the picture.

Unfortunately, Kohli fans were disappointed as the captain was forced to withdraw from the ongoing second Test match in Johannesburg due to a back spasm. The batter Cheteshwar Pujara, however, provided insight into Kohli’s fitness by saying that he is improving. According to Pujara during a media interaction, “Officially, I cannot reveal anything else, but I think Kohli is getting better, and I believe he will be fit sooner rather than later.” On Wednesday, Kohli went through light training in Johannesburg before the third day of play began.

India is being led by KL Rahul in the ongoing Test in the absence of Kohli. Kohli was, however, mentioned by Rahul during the toss that he might return for the third and final Test, starting on January 11 in Cape Town. A South African win in the second Test would level the series with 122 runs needed.
