Match 12 of the BBL 2022 sees Melbourne Stars and Perth Scorchers go head to head at the Junction Oval on Friday afternoon. The Stars had a narrow defeat to Sydney Thunder in their first game but were very impressive in beating Hobart Hurricanes. The Scorchers beat Sydney Sixers before losing to the Hurricanes in their second fixture. Melbourne Stars could well be a surprise team this year with runs at the top of the order and plenty of bowling options. Although they will need all their top players delivering their best in this game to get another win. Perth Scorchers came up only eight runs short in an exciting game against Hobart Hurricanes on Monday but they have a team full of experience and quality and will expect to get back to winning ways in this match.

The key contests in this game will be between the Melbourne Stars batters and the Perth Scorchers bowlers. Although Joe Clarke was in excellent form in the last game, Scorchers’ bowlers are the best in the league. With the Stars and the Scorchers both searching for their second win of the campaign, we expect a high scoring and exciting contest at the Junction Oval. Ultimately, we think that the quality of Perth Scorchers’ bowlers will be the biggest factor in this game and are backing them to beat Melbourne Stars. Considering the team combination, Melbourne Stars is expected to win this match.
