Netherlands vs Pakistan: Netherlands take on another good team after facing New Zealand earlier. Pakistan are up against them, and Pakistan unlike New Zealand has bought their full team. Shaheen Shah Afridi though is an injury concern, which makes him likely to miss at least the first two ODIs. The upcoming game though is an opportunity for Netherlands. With Pakistan coming, the match is likely to generate a decent crowd, and if Netherlands can find a way to impress, they will go a long way financially and with respect to their confidence.
Played-3 | Pakistan-3 | Netherlands-0 | Tie-0
Match: Netherlands vs Pakistan
Date: 16th August 2022
Time: 2:30 PM IST
Venue: Hazelaarweg, Rotterdam
The Rotterdam weather is clear for the Netherlands vs Pakistan game.
There is no rain in the forecast and a full game is expected.
Scott Edwards (capt), Musa Ahmad, Shariz Ahmad, Logan van Beek, Tom Cooper, Max O’Dowd, Vikram Singh, Aryan Dutt, Arnav Jain, Viv Kingma, Ryan Klein
Fakhar Zaman, Imam Ul Haw, Babar Azam, Abdullah Shafique, Mohammad Rizwan, Mohammad Haris, Shadab Khan, Haris Rauf, Mohammad Nawaz, Naseem Shah, Mohammad Wasim
After a nice season of Test Cricket, Shafique breaks into the ODI side. He might not get into the ODI side as an opener with the top settled, but he will find a place in the side, and will be ready when he gets his chance. He has already shown the maturity needed for international cricket and will finally be in as an all-format player. If he manages to find form, the Pakistan line-up will look a lot more solid with a steady and technically correct top five.
Vikram Singh has proven to be a capable and aggressive batter over the last few weeks. He starts fast and can make a huge difference with Shaheen Shah Afridi missing as well.
A one-sided affair is expected. Pakistan are full-strength and Netherlands are not in their greatest period, making it an easy sighting for Pakistan
