After losing their first match against CSK on Sunday, Mumbai Indians are all geared up for an anticipated win making their way to the playoffs. In the last game, MI certainly missed the presence of all-rounder Hardik Pandya as well as hitman Rohit Sharma who could have helped in sailing the boat for the defending champions.
In a virtual press conference Trent Boult stated that – “ Rohit Sharma and Hardik Pandya are recovering very well.” “In terms of today’s game I am not sure whether they will play or not, but day by day they are improving.” No doubt, they are very crucial players for Mumbai Indians and we are desperate to get them back. So fingers crossed and let’s hope that they will be pretty good to go over the next couple of games,” added the Newzealand pacer.
On contacting Eoin Morgan, he expressed that – “there will be no changes as such for today’s game and they will continue playing in a similar aggressive manner and hope to win the title just like in the year 2014, where they had nine victories in a row continuously. He also believes that too much chop and change will be a disaster for the team’s performance.
The 34th match will be held today in Dubai at 7:30 PM IST. Although MI have a clear upper in the league, MI players are in no mood to underestimate KKR players. Meanwhile the Eoin Morgan-led team had a dominating nine-wicket win over RCB in their last game. Rohit’s presence in the team had always given assurance for fans. In the last game against CSK, he was sorely missed and his absence said it all. MI fans are eagerly waiting for Rohit and Pandya to return to the green field and show some power packed performances for today’s match and make it big for Mumbai Indians!
