The India Legends got off to a poor start as Nuwan Kulasekara cleaned up the Master Blaster with a peach of a delivery. They lost Suresh Raina shortly after and were under serious pressure. However, promoting Vinay Kumar up the order proved to be a masterstroke.. He played an important knock of 36 and allowed Ojha to unleash as well. The wicketkeeper remained unbeaten on 108 runs from 71 balls as India Legends posted a strong score of 195 runs from their 20 overs.

Once Udawatte was dismissed, the Sri Lanka Legends tail folded quickly and the India Legends by 33 runs and the trophy.
