Both nations are in deep crisis, and in Sri Lanka’s case they have already collapsed or almost have. While the nations are struggling economically, their national teams are doing their bit to put a smile on the faces of their fans. Coming into the game, both sides have a few similarities. The chasing has been good, and there are some all-rounders who are stepping up nicely for both teams.
For Pakistan, they are being as unpredictable as ever. Just as they looked like they would choke against Afghanistan, Naseem Shah saved them with two sixes in the final over. They were also in a shaky position with India only to recover and win rather easily. Sri Lanka are in pretty good form. The batters are looking good, barring a few top-order issues and the bowling is also pretty good.

Venue: Dubai International Stadium
The weather in Dubai is clear and dry for the SL vs PAK fixture.
The Dubai track is a pretty helpful for bowlers but is also starting to ease out with the bat. While there is some movement and turn early on, batting gets easier and batting second will be a better option.
Danushka Gunathilaka, Pattum Nissanka, Charith Asalanka, Bhanuka Rajapaksa, Kusal Mendis, Dasun Shanaka, Dhananjaya De Silva, Wanindu Hasaranga, Maheesh Theekshana, Matheesha Pathirana, Chamika Karunaratne
Babar Azam, Mohammad Rizwan, Fakhar Zaman, Haider Ali, Khushdil Shah, Asif Ali, Shadab Khan, Haris Rauf, Usman Qadir, Shahnawaz Dahani, Naseem Shah
Dasun Shanaka finally came in with the ball. Ideally, he is a pretty handy bowler, but has avoided bowling until the India game. With him bowling well and taking wickets though Sri Lanka has an extra pace option while they also have a reliable finisher.
With one game to go for the finals, Babar Azam is struggling to stamp his authority on this tournament. He has no significant scores and would like to spend some time out in the middle before the finals.

Sri Lanka are punching above their weight well and creating a lot of surprises. Pakistan though are proving to be as unpredictable as ever. Their team is full of match-winners and recent wins will give them a lot of confidence given the manner at which they won.
