In the 15th match of the T20 World Cup, Bangladesh will take on Sri Lanka on Sunday. Sri Lanka has dominated Bangladesh in T20Is. The Lankans, led by Dasun Shanaka have had a stupendous run in the tournament, having beaten Netherlands, Ireland, and Namibia in a pretty comprehensive manner.
Match: Sri Lanka vs Bangladesh, 15th Match, Super 12 Group 1, ICC Men’s T20 WC 2021
Date: 24th October 2021
Time: 3:30 IST
Venue: Sharjah Cricket Stadium, Sharjah
The conditions are going to be spin-friendly. Getting runs in the powerplay and not falling too far behind the run rate are going to be key things to do for each team. This is not a venue where you are going to see too many sixes and the par score could be somewhere around 130-140.
The venue will greet the players in hot and humid conditions on Sunday. The maximum temperature would be 33°C while the humidity would be around 54%.

Wanindu Hasaranga
Wanindu Hasaranga didn’t have a great outing in the IPL, he has made amends in the T20 World Cup. In three matches, the leg-spinner has picked up six wickets at a decent economy rate of 4.09. The tweaker has shown that on the slow and low pitches in the UAE, he can be a tough customer to deal with. Not to forget that he also scored a fifty against Ireland.
Mohammad Naim
Mohammad Naim has been one of Bangladesh’s more consistent batters over the last two years or so. The southpaw replaced Soumya Sarkar in the eleven in the game against Oman and made an impact right away. Although he scored a duck against PNG, Naim has the potential to score big in the next game. He will be looking to take Bangladesh off to a flier.
There is no reason why Sri Lanka should be the favorite in this match according to us. Bangladesh has recently won a series each against Australia and New Zealand on similar surfaces. It also has a good record against Sri Lanka.
Today’s match prediction; Bangladesh to win the match.
