WEST INDIES
West Indies will look to create on their last T20 series convert Sri Lanka but they face a way tougher task here as they combat South Africa and it’ll provide the hosts with an honest idea of where they’re at before the T20 World Cup .
There is little room for manoeuvre within the West Indies squad for this series with them naming just a 13-man squad but the pressure are going to be on Evin Lewis who retains his spot despite a poor series last outing .
His place at the highest of the order could come under threat from Andre Fletcher while the Windies could prefer to pick Dwayne Bravo, Andre Russell, Chris Gayle, and Kieron Pollard within the same side together for the primary time in six years.
SOUTH AFRICA
South Africa will hope to finish their run without a series win in T20 internationals having did not prevail in any of their last six outings but they’re going to believe they will begin on top here.
Temba Bavuma has been handed the captaincy and can take the reins for the primary time during this opening match of the series where he looks set to open the batting at the highest of the order alongside Quinton de Kock.
Faf du Plessis may be a big loss for the Proteas with Kyle Verreynne and Heinrich Klaasen battling it out for his spot within the side while there are a number of options within the bowling attack which is a neighborhood they’re going to look to require control of during this series.
